To enable more efficient browsing and analysis of social listening data, OneSight provides a variety of flexible filters that allow users to narrow down the data range as needed, focusing on specific audiences, content, platforms, or semantic features.

In the topic dashboard, you can use the filters at the top of the page to quickly and accurately slice and compare data.

OneSight supports over 14 filters, divided into two main categories: basic and advanced.

1. Basic Filters

  1. Time: Custom time ranges and relative time operations (e.g., last 7 days, last 30 days), etc.

  2. Platform: Supports multi-platform selection (e.g., X, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, etc.)

  3. Language: Filter by content publishing language, such as English, German, Portuguese, etc.

  4. Location: Specify countries/regions (e.g., Argentina, UAE, Algeria, etc.)

  5. Keywords: Quickly focus on content containing specified terms. These keywords serve as a secondary filter for topic data. To make permanent adjustments, update the keywords in the topic settings.

  6. Sentiment: Filter content by sentiment tendency—positive, neutral, or negative.

2. Advanced Filters

  1. Content Type: Such as video, image, text, etc.

  2. Post Type: Filter posts, comments, shares.

  3. Content Tag: Filter content by tags (precondition: content must be manually tagged beforehand).

  4. Social Account Tag: Filter social accounts by tags (precondition: social accounts must be manually tagged beforehand).

  5. Author: Filter by author username or handle appearing in the theme.

  6. Author Gender: Filter authors by gender (male, female).

  7. Author Age: Filter authors by age ranges (18-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65+).

  8. Brand: For topics involving multiple brands, focus on content related to a specific brand.

3. Usage Recommendations

  • You can combine multiple filters to perform multi-dimensional data cross-analysis.

  • Using the “keyword + sentiment” combination allows for efficient identification of emotional focus points.

  • Each filter supports both “include” and “exclude” modes, greatly enhancing filtering efficiency.
