Profile Performance: Instagram

Entry: From the left-side menu, select [Monitoring] → [Profile Performance] → [Instagram].

1. Data Filtering

Supports filtering and analyzing data across multiple dimensions:

  • Time: Custom date ranges and relative time periods (e.g., last 7 days, last 30 days);

  • Profile: Filter by social account name;

  • Profile Tags: Filter social accounts by tags (prerequisite: tags must be manually assigned to accounts in advance).

2. Performance Metrics

2.1 Data Overview

The Data Overview provides a centralized display and quick analysis of overall social account performance, helping you understand account performance from a macro perspective.

This module mainly includes the following features:

  • Data Summary: Centrally presents key operational metrics of social accounts, including follower scale, content output, engagement performance, and view counts, allowing for a quick grasp of overall account status.

  • Metric Trend Charts: Displays changes in core metrics over the selected time range through trend charts, helping users intuitively analyze data trends, identify growth patterns, and detect anomalies.

  • Post Information Display: Summarizes post-related information, supporting viewing basic performance data of posts, assisting in analyzing content performance and operational effectiveness.

The Data Overview module enables you to quickly understand the overall operation of social accounts and provides a data foundation for further detailed analysis and strategy optimization.

2.1.1 Data Summary

Used to centrally display the core operational metrics of social accounts within the selected time range, helping you quickly understand overall account performance.

  • OS Rating: Shows the trend of the social account’s OS score over the selected date range, providing a comprehensive assessment of overall account performance.

  • Contents: Counts the number of posts published by the social account within the selected date range, including Reels. The number of Stories is included only for authorized accounts. This metric measures content output frequency.

  • Fans: The total number of followers of the Instagram account as of the last day of the selected date range.

  • Net Fans Growth: The net increase in followers of the Instagram account during the selected date range.

  • Engagements*: The total number of interactions received by the account’s content during the selected date range.

    • For authorized accounts, displays authorized engagement counts;

    • For unauthorized accounts, displays publicly available engagement counts.

  • Avg. Engagements per Post*: The average number of interactions per post published by the account during the selected date range.

    • For authorized accounts, displays authorized data;

    • For unauthorized accounts, displays publicly available data.

  • Post Impressions*: The number of times posts and Stories were displayed to users. For Reels, the play count is used as impressions. This metric measures content exposure and reach frequency.

  • Video Views*: The number of times videos were viewed. For carousel posts without video, this metric shows 0. For Instagram Reels, the play count is used as video views. Each play counts as one view if the video plays for at least 1 millisecond, excluding replays. This metric measures the actual reach of the content.

  • Click the “ⓘ” icon next to a metric name to view its statistical definition, calculation method, and applicable scope across different social platforms, helping you accurately understand the metric and perform comparative analysis.

  • Metrics marked with an “*” involve authorized data. Due to differences in data access for each social account, these metrics may be based on authorized data alone or a combination of public and authorized data. Please refer to the metric description for details.

2.1.2 Metric Trend Charts

This section presents the core operational metrics of Instagram accounts over the selected time range in trend chart format, helping you visually understand dynamic performance trends.

  • Fans: Daily changes in the number of Instagram account fans, used to observe day-to-day fluctuations in fan count.

  • Net Fan Growth: Daily net increase in Instagram account fans, used to assess fan growth trends.

  • Content Count: Number of posts published daily by the Instagram account, used to analyze content publishing cadence.

  • Engagements*: Total daily interactions received by Instagram content, used to measure day-to-day changes in user engagement.

2.1.3 Top Content

Displays all relevant content filtered under the current selection. Supports sorting by key metrics such as engagements, reactions/likes, and video views in ascending or descending order, helping users quickly identify high-performing content.

2.2 Page Analysis

This module presents key operational metrics at the Instagram page level using charts. By visualizing data changes, it helps you evaluate page exposure and user reach from an overall perspective.

  • OS Rating: Shows the trend of the page’s OS score over the selected date range, providing a comprehensive assessment of overall account performance.

  • Page Impressions*: Displays the number of times the page or its related content appeared on users’ screens during the selected date range, measuring content exposure effectiveness.

  • Page Reach*: Shows the number of unique users who viewed the page’s public content or related content during the selected date range, assessing the actual reach of the page.

2.3 Fans Analysis

Used to analyze the scale and structure of page fans, helping you understand fan growth, loss, and geographic distribution.

  • Fans: Shows the trend of page fan count within the selected date range.

  • Net Fan Growth: Displays the trend of net increase in page fans during the selected date range.

  • Fans By Countrys*: Displays the distribution of page fans across different countries as of the last day of the selected date range.

  • Fans By City: Shows the distribution of page fans across different cities as of the last day of the selected date range.

  • Fans Gender and Age Distribution: Displays the gender and age structure of page fans as of the last day of the selected date range.

  • Fans Active Time*: Shows page fans’ online time and activity levels within the selected date range, helping analyze fan engagement patterns.

2.4 Content Analysis

Analyzes page content publishing and performance, helping to comprehensively evaluate content operations in terms of publishing cadence, user engagement, and reach.

  • Contents: Shows the daily trend of content published on the page within the selected date range, differentiated by content type.

  • Engagements*: Displays the trend of total interactions received by published posts during the selected date range, including reactions, shares, comments, saves, and Story replies.

  • Post Impressions*: Shows the number of times published posts were displayed to users during the selected date range, used to evaluate content exposure.

  • Post Reach*: Displays the trend of unique users reached by content published on the page during the selected date range, used to assess actual content reach.

  • Video Views*: Shows the number of times published videos were viewed during the selected date range (excluding videos in carousel posts), used to evaluate video content performance.

2.5 Stories Analysis

The Stories Analysis module provides a comprehensive evaluation of short-lived content posted by social accounts and associated user interactions. This module allows you to visually understand posting frequency, viewing depth, engagement levels, and user behavior preferences for Stories, providing data support to optimize Story content strategy, improve user retention, and boost interaction. The multi-dimensional metrics help assess content effectiveness, user engagement, and behavior preferences, offering full support for short-form video strategy optimization and content operations.

  • Stories Count*: Total number of Stories posted by the account within the selected date range, with breakdowns by Story type.

  • Stories Impressions*: Total number of times Stories were viewed by users during the selected date range.

  • Stories Reach*: Number of unique users who viewed at least one Story during the selected date range.

  • Stories Completion Rate*: Proportion of users who watched Stories to completion, used to measure retention effectiveness.

  • Stories Replies*: Total number of replies (comments) received on Stories during the selected date range.

  • Stories Exits*: Number of times users exited Stories before completion.

  • Taps Forward/Back*: Total number of times users tapped to view the next or previous photo/video in Stories.

2.6 Data Drill-Down

All charts on the [Profile Performance – Instagram] page support data drill-down. Under the current filter conditions, you can further view detailed data for specific social accounts or content, enabling deeper performance analysis. Drill-down results can also be downloaded to support data retention and further analysis.

2.7 Chart Filter Dimensions Explanation

To facilitate understanding and analysis from different perspectives, the system provides multiple dimensions for viewing and breaking down various metrics. Supported dimensions may vary by metric; the actual options depend on the page display.

  • Time Dimension: Supports viewing metric changes by day / week / month, useful for analyzing short-term fluctuations and long-term trends.

  • Behavior Dimension: For engagement-related metrics, charts support filtering and analysis by total or interaction type.

  • Chart Display Type: Some charts support different visualization formats, such as bar charts or donut charts, facilitating comparison and structural analysis.

Note: Not all metrics support all of the above dimensions. Available dimensions depend on the specific metric.

3. Exporting Chart Data

The platform supports exporting either the entire report or individual chart data, allowing you to select the data and format you need. This is useful for creating reports, presenting content performance, or sharing charts externally.

3.1 Exporting the Entire Report

3.1.1 Exporting Scheduled Reports

Steps:

  1. On the [Profile Performance – Instagram] page, click the Scheduled Reports button in the top-right corner.

  2. In the pop-up Create Scheduled Reports page, configure the report format, aggregation method, and other relevant settings.

  3. Click Apply to successfully create the report.

3.1.2 Exporting Reports:

Steps:

  1. On the [Profile Performance – Instagram] page, click the Export button in the top-right corner.

  2. In the Export interface, configure the report format, aggregation method, and other relevant settings.

  3. Click Apply and wait for the file to be generated. Once completed, you can view the exported report.

3.2 Exporting Chart Files

On the [Profile Performance – Instagram] page, you can select the chart you wish to export. Click the “...” button in the top-right corner of the chart, then choose “Download PNG” from the dropdown menu to export and save the chart as a .png image file.
